Getting a clean result
Remove the biggest person first, then smaller ones, so each fill has real background around it. Several people in a row? Erase them one at a time rather than in one huge stroke.
Look for the leftovers that give it away: a shadow with no one casting it, a hand on someone else’s shoulder, or feet cut off at the edge of your mark.
At a busy landmark, a no-AI alternative is to take 10–15 shots from a tripod and blend them with a median stack in an editor such as GIMP or Photoshop: people who move disappear because they are never in the same spot twice.

How do I remove a person from a photo for free?

Does it work on group photos?
