What Data We Collect
Images You Upload
- Where it's stored: Primarily in your browser's memory and IndexedDB (local storage)
- When we access it: Only when you use AI enhancement features that require server processing
- How long we keep it: Immediately deleted after processing (typically within seconds)
- Who has access: Only our secure processing servers during enhancement operations
Enhancement History
- Where it's stored: Only in your browser's IndexedDB
- When we access it: Never - this data never leaves your device
- How long we keep it: Until you manually delete it or clear your browser data
- Who has access: Only you, on your device
Usage Analytics
- What we collect: Anonymous page views, feature usage, browser type, general location (country/city)
- Services used: Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics
- Purpose: To understand how visitors use our site and improve user experience
- Personal identification: No personally identifiable information is collected
What We DON'T Collect

- ❌ No payment information (currently no paid features)
- ❌ No permanent storage of your images
- ❌ No access to your camera, microphone, or other device features

How We Use Your Data
Local Processing (Preferred)
Whenever possible, image processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. This means your images never leave your device.
Server Processing (When Required)
For advanced AI features (upscaling, object removal, etc.), images are temporarily sent to our servers:
- Encrypted in transit: HTTPS/TLS encryption protects your images during upload/download
- Processed immediately: AI models process your image as soon as it's received
- Deleted immediately: Original and enhanced images are deleted from servers within seconds after you download them
- No training data: Your images are never used to train our AI models
- No human review: Our staff never views your images
Third-Party Services
Analytics Services
We use the following analytics services to understand site usage:
- Google Analytics: Collects anonymous usage data (page views, session duration, etc.)
- Ahrefs Web Analytics: Privacy-focused analytics without personal data collection
You can opt out of analytics tracking using browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.
AI Processing Services
When server-side AI processing is required, images are sent to our secure processing infrastructure. No third-party AI providers receive your images.

Your Rights & Control
Control Your Local Data
You can delete your enhancement history at any time from the History page, or by clearing your browser's local storage/IndexedDB.
No Account to Delete
Since we don't store user accounts, there's nothing to delete from our servers.
Data Portability
All your enhancement history is stored locally and can be exported at any time.
Opt-Out of Analytics
Use browser extensions or privacy settings to block analytics scripts.
Data Retention Policy
Images (Server Processing)
Deleted immediately after processing completes (typically within seconds, maximum 1 hour).
Enhancement History (Local)
Stored indefinitely in your browser until you manually delete it or clear browser data.
Analytics Data
Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics and Ahrefs retention policies (typically 14-26 months).
Children's Privacy
PixelPerfect is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of PixelPerfect after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
