Remove emojis from photos
Clear stickers and emojis you added to your own pictures. Be clear on one thing: whatever the emoji covered was never saved in the file, so AI fills in a plausible guess, not what was really there.
Brush over the whole emoji or sticker including its outline, then press AI clean-up.
"Erase" runs on your device. "AI clean-up" sends a resized copy of the photo and your marks to our AI provider and pastes the result back only inside the marked area.
How to remove emoji from photo
Mark the emoji
Cover the sticker plus its white outline or drop shadow.
AI clean-up
AI paints in a background that fits the surroundings. On plain backgrounds, Erase alone works.
Compare and save
Hold "see original" to compare, undo if needed, then save as PNG.
Can you see what is under an emoji?
No. When an app saves a photo with an emoji on top, the pixels underneath are replaced by the emoji’s pixels. There is no hidden layer to reveal. Any tool that claims to "uncover" a face is generating a new one.
If you still have the original photo (in your camera roll or the app’s drafts), that is the only way to get the real content back.
Please do not use this on other people’s photos to try to unmask someone; the result is fiction and can mislead or harm.

Questions people ask
How do I remove an emoji from a photo?
Open the photo, brush over the emoji including its outline, press AI clean-up and save. On a plain background, Erase is instant.
Can I see the face under an emoji?
No. The original pixels were overwritten when the image was saved. AI can only invent a plausible face, which will not be the real person.
Does it work on screenshots of Snapchat or Instagram stories?
It removes the sticker from the screenshot, but the area underneath is a reconstruction for the same reason.
